Boxing fans are being kept on tenterhooks as details of the next Anthony Joshua fight are on the cusp of being confirmed.

In a recent Sky Sports update, promoter Eddie Hearn revealed he is "almost certain" the highly anticipated contest between Joshua and Kubrat Pulev will take place at a UK stadium in late May or early June this year.

After Hearn publicly discounted a North London stadium from the lineup of potential hosts, alternative locations for the fight have been rumoured. Read on to discover the venues that have come into play plus, find out how you can be the first to get VIP tickets to this unmissable match.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Although British boxing star, Joshua, hasn't fought in the UK for over a year, 2020 stands to mark his triumphant return. Tottenham Hotspur FC's brand new stadium has been named as the front-runner to host his next fight by numerous news reports.

Hearn told The Standard: "Tottenham's new stadium looks magnificent. Its ultra-modern and state-of-the-art,” he continued, "With no roof, you'd be limited to dates between April and September. But it looks perfect."

Hearn has most recently confirmed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is 'very close' to being agreed. The Metro has also reported: 'Asked about progress over talks for the Pulev fight, Hearn told Boxing Social: ‘Very close to agreeing terms there now. My simple strict instructions from Anthony Joshua were: “Get me back in the UK.

So far the multipurpose stadium has confirmed it will host NFL fixtures. The stadium also recently announced its first-ever music concert:  Guns N' Roses on 29th & 30th May 2020. Could Tottenham Hotspur Stadium add boxing matches to their list of events this summer?

Emirates Stadium

In an interview with iFL TV, Hearn revealed "everywhere is in play" to host AJ's next fight, including the Emirates Stadium, home to Spurs' arch rivals, Arsenal FC.

This isn't the first time the stadium has been rumoured to host boxing matches: in 2009, Emirates Stadium was in line to host Ricky Hatton's fight against Oscare De La Hoya. The venue was also in the lineup to stage the 2017 James DeGale v Gennary Golovkin contest - both never came to fruition.

While the Emirates Stadium has staged national and international football matches and hosted concerts, including Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Coldplay, as well as The Killers on 5th and 6th June 2020, it is yet to host a boxing match. Could Arsenal beat Tottenham in the race to score the AJ fight for their debut boxing event?

Twickenham Stadium

Home of English rugby, Twickenham Stadium has also been named in the line up of potential locations for the Joshua v Pulev contest. Similarly to Emirates and Tottenham Stadium, Twickenham is yet to hold a boxing match.

In 2018, news reports claimed the stadium was open to hosting Joshua's fight against Deontay Wilder. However, this fell through. Twickenham Stadium is also known for hosting concerts for world renowned concerts including those of Rihanna and Beyoncé, with BTS concerts taking place on the 3rd and 4th July 2020.

London Stadium

London Stadium, formally known as Olympic Stadium, has also been revealed as a potential fight host. Home of West Ham United is famous for hosting the 2012 summer Olympics, as well as cricket, baseball and rugby matches and motorsports events. Could the stadium add boxing to its event offering in 2020?

Principality Stadium

Joshua is no stranger to Cardiff's Principality Stadium. In 2017 the heavyweight champion successfully retained his WBA, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles against Carlos Takam. In 2018, AJ also won his unification fight against Joseph Parker.

Could AJ continue his winning streak if he is to face Pulev at the historic home of Welsh rugby?
