As it's confirmed that Anthony Joshua will fight Daniel Dubois at Wembley, we take a look at the illustrious career that has certified AJ's status as one of the biggest global boxing stars on the planet.

The heavyweight champion held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2014-2016, his victorious win against Wladimir Klitshcko was crowned Fight of the Year by The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America 2017, and he held the WBA 'super', IBF and WBO titles between 2016-2019.

However, following his second loss against Oleksandr Usyk in 2022, AJ has now been on the road to redemption, looking to prove himself to the world once again.

In April 2023, AJ achieved a remarkable victory in the heavyweight fight against Jermaine Franklin. This triumph came as a much-needed boost for Joshua, following a series of setbacks where he lost three out of five contests.

Since then, he has won fights against Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngnannou. Find out the details of Anthony Joshua's next fight, his next opponent, Dubois, and when and where the fight will be.

Is Anthony Joshua's next fight against Daniel Dubois?

It's been confirmed that Joshua will fight Dubois later this year.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Joshua revealed that he would be fighting the winner of the 5 vs 5 card, where five of Eddie Hearn’s boxers will fight five of Frank Warren’s.

On Saturday 1st June, the highly anticipated Matchroom vs Queensberry show took place, showcasing four of the division's finest fighters. However, to the disappointment of Hearn's team, rival promoter Warren emerged victorious, leaving them in an 8-0 deficit.

According to talkSPORT's Oliver Spencer, the upcoming clash for the soon-to-be-vacant IBF heavyweight world title will be an all-British affair. "Daniel Dubois put on a brilliant performance last night against Filip Hrgovic and he absolutely deserves a shot at Anthony Joshua."

"We will see Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois on September 21, that is happening. A great fight for British boxing fans!", Spencer stated.

Meanwhile, Punch Sports Extra reports Eddie Hearne is 'confident' that the Anthony Joshua next fight 2024 against Dubois will take place.

“Will the Joshua-Dubois fight be for a title? For that, we need Usyk to be honest and admit that he doesn’t want to fight Dubois, who is the mandatory challenger. Usyk should fight him, but he has a rematch with Fury.

“Joshua and Dubois will fight for the IBF title, while all other belts will be on the line in the Usyk-Fury rematch. Then, the winners of these fights could face each other for the undisputed championship,” Hearn said.

The aim of AJ and His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh, the Saudi adviser spearheading the Gulf state boxing endeavours, is to orchestrate the most entertaining and thrilling fights for the fans.

This will one day be a showdown with Tyson Fury when his calendar allows it, but in the meantime the September fight will no doubt have spectators on the edge of their seats.

When is the Anthony Joshua next fight date and time?

Anthony Joshua’s next fight date will take place on 21st September after the other heavyweight fights this summer.

Where will Anthony Joshua's next fight be held?

The ‘shortlist’ of heavyweight opponents’ fights will be held in Riyadh in June, and the September one will be on home soil for Joshua at Wembley.

Which legendary music act will be performing at the fight?

It's been confirmed that Liam Gallagher will take to the stage to perform ahead of the fight at Wembley Stadium. His team posted to Instagram that he will sing "three Oasis classics" on the night.
