What is Wizkid’s newest music release?

Wizkid last released an album in November 2022 named ‘More Love, Less Ego’, to critical acclaim.

NME gave the record the max rating of five stars, saying “The trailblazing Nigerian hitmaker continues to expand his forward-thinking musical outlook on album number five”, expanding upon that later on to say “‘More Love, Less Ego’ is a masterful collection that sees Wizkid beginning to truly perfect his universal pop sound”.

The album comprises 13 tracks, with ‘Bad To Me’ released as the lead single in September 2022.

The original release date of the album was stated by Wizkid himself as 22nd January 2022, the final date of his ‘Made In Lagos Tour’. It was pushed back for no specific reasons, but likely due to the artist wanting to work on it further.

When was the last Wizkid UK tour?

The last tour of the Grammy winner was the ‘Made In Lagos Tour’ in 2021, which saw him sell out three dates at the London O2 Arena, with tickets vanishing in under 15 minutes due to demand and popularity.

Unfortunately for British fans, those were the only three dates he performed in the UK as part of the tour. However, attendees of the concert were left more than pleased as the spectacle he put on was second to none.

Is Wizkid touring in 2023?

With the release of his latest album in 2022, Wizkid announced that he would be going on tour in 2023, bringing the songs from ‘More Love, Less Ego’ to his fans in North America and in the UK only so far.

More dates are expected to be released at a later date, specifically in Europe and his home continent of Africa.

Will there be a Wizkid UK tour in 2023?

As mentioned, the only date outside of North America currently for the tour in 2023 will be in the UK. Unlike in 2021, though, it will not be multiple dates, but instead just the one.

However, the multi-platinum-selling artist will not be going back to the London O2 Arena, and will this time be performing at a larger venue - Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Playing to a capacity of 62,850 will make this solo show his biggest to date in the UK as he has never played in a UK stadium before as part of a tour.

Wizkid featured at Wireless Festival in 2022 and headlined Yam Carnival the same year, an Afrobeats festival based in Clapham Common, London that celebrates Black music, culture and dance.

What are the Wizkid UK tour dates?

Wizkid’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium show is scheduled for Saturday 29th July. Support acts have not yet been announced, but it is likely that he will bring some up-and-coming Afrobeats stars and maybe some British artists he has collaborated with in the past, such as Skepta.

How can I get Wizkid tickets?

Tickets for Wizkid’s concert in London are not yet available but will be soon.

For any fans looking to procure tickets for the show, be warned that the demand will be high once again. As we mentioned earlier, he sold out his three London O2 dates in under 15 minutes.

The O2 has a capacity of 20,000, so he was able to sell out 60,000 tickets in an unbelievably quick amount of time. Do bear that in mind as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has a capacity of just a little over that.

You can save yourself the hassle of having to wait in the long queue for general admission tickets just to be denied the opportunity to get any by opting for premium tickets instead!
