With the appointment of a new chairman, hires and partnerships, we are preparing for a year of huge transformation in 2022.
The last 18 - 24 months has been a challenging period for our industry, but it has also been a year that has provided some opportunities which have seen the business grow.
Last December, Seat Unique was named ‘Disruptor of the Year’ at The Ticketing Business Awards 2021. Winning an award in recognition of the technology we have created and how it’s transforming the marketplace is an incredible achievement and is something we are extremely proud of.
In January 2022 we welcomed former Sky Bet CEO Richard Flint as our new Chairman. He will bring invaluable support and guidance to the business as we step up our efforts to achieve the new phase of growth.
Over the past 12 months, we have continued to achieve success by building on our partnerships with clubs and venues. We create value by digitally transforming their hospitality booking systems with our innovative technology, which has subsequently increased our partners online hospitality sales. Not only has this led to a strong partnership renewal rate, but a flurry of new partnership deals with prestigious clubs and venues.
As a result, the business is entering a significant period of growth and we are continuing to target further expansion as we build on our success. In the last 4 months, the Seat Unique team has grown to over 20 employees, based in London, UK and Wrocław, Poland. New hires have been taken on across all areas of the business including marketing, sales and tech.

Meet Seat Unique’s New Chairman, Richard Flint
The appointment of Richard Flint as our new Chairman comes as we prepare for our Series A funding round. Richard, who has been part of Seat Unique’s board since November 2021, has stepped up from his previous position as Investor and Advisor.
His new role is designed to help establish the business as the go-to choice for fans looking to purchase premium tickets and hospitality packages for live events. His leadership appointment will be critical in maintaining our focus on providing a seamless, safe and secure online experience for fans and partners alike. Richard brings a wealth of experience and leadership and will support us as we enter an exciting period of growth.

Meet our new hires
James Duffy, who has helped greatly within our Legal and Operations functions over the past few years, has joined Seat Unique full time as COO. As a qualified corporate M&A lawyer, James brings a wealth of experience originating and transacting investments across multiple sectors including the hospitality industry. James is responsible for helping shape Seat Unique’s legal strategy and is responsible for managing our legal affairs.
Danil Bogomolov has also come onboard as Seat Unique’s first in-house front-end developer. He is responsible for developing and managing the structure, design and optimisation of our website to deliver the best user experience possible. His role is vital to ensuring that our customers can interact easily with our product. His vast experience in app development, building and optimising front-end solutions, and design skills make him a critical part of our technical team.
Seat Unique is delighted to have welcomed Nathan Dale as Marketing Executive. Nathan will assist the wider marketing team to help drive growth strategies across multiple channels. He encompasses the creative, analytical and digital skills that are vital for building the Seat Unique brand effectively online. Nathan’s role is essential in helping develop the business’s digital strategy.
We are thrilled that Alasdair Walters has joined the sales team as Sales Executive. Alasdair’s main focus is to generate sales revenue through inbound enquiries and explore opportunities to increase sales growth with re-booking strategies. Having previously held a commercial sales position at Surrey Cricket Club, Alasdair brings a wealth of relevant experience to the team. He is a key component to the success of the Seat Unique sales team.

Discover the Welsh Rugby Union Supporter Exchange, powered by Seat Unique
Since October 2021, we have exclusively powered the Welsh Rugby Union and Principality Stadium Experience’s online hospitality sales. Following our hugely successful digital transformation of the organisation’s online hospitality experience, our relationship was extended to power an official secondary marketplace for match tickets at Principality Stadium.
We are extremely proud to have helped create and launch the new WRU Supporter Exchange. The platform provides a safe, secure and guaranteed space for legitimate ticket exchanges between WRU supporters and clubs. The Supporter Exchange also helps to keep vital funds in the game in Wales and protects supporters, something which is very important to us.

Check out The Seat Unique Box Experience at The Cherry Red Records Stadium, the home of AFC Wimbledon
As we entered 2022, we announced the launch of a new and exciting hospitality experience at The Cherry Red Records Stadium, in partnership with AFC Wimbledon. The Seat Unique Box offers a premium and exclusive matchday experience, complete with panoramic pitch views, premium padded seating, a complimentary bar and buffet, and Play Station 5 with FIFA 22.
The Dons have greatly increased their hospitality capacity and we are delighted to support the club’s commitment to enhancing its in-stadium fan experience and hospitality offering.
