It is a great pleasure to welcome former Sky Bet CEO Richard Flint as our new Chairman.
Richard, who has been part of Seat Unique’s board since November 2021, will step up from his previous position as Investor and Advisor with immediate effect.
Speaking about his transition from Advisor to Chairman, Richard said: “I have long been interested in the premium ticketing business, particularly as it moves online and becomes more accessible to individuals and families who are prepared to pay a little bit extra for truly memorable experiences. There is a huge opportunity here for Seat Unique to become the trusted partner to sports clubs and music venues, and the trusted source of premium tickets for interested customers.”
Richard has a proven track record for driving businesses to excellence. He was instrumental in turning Sky Bet into one of the biggest operations in the UK betting industry, growing revenues from under £30m to over £750m pa over more than 10 years.
He is now focused on investing and working with UK start-up/scale-ups, including being the Chair of Butternut Box, the fast-growing fresh dog food subscription business. He is also a Non-Exec on the Board of Flutter Entertainment plc which now owns Sky Bet, and a Non-Exec Director of the LadBible Group.
Prior to his role at Sky Bet, Richard held positions at the Financial Times and McKinsey & Sky. He is also a graduate of Oxford and Harvard University in Engineering, Economics and Management and Public Policy.
