The rap superstar has revived his bleached blonde hair alter ego Slim Shady for his new album. Could this mean Eminem is going on tour in 2024? We discuss when and where the 'Lose Yourself' rapper could play in the UK.

Eminem revolutionised the rap game in the nineties and early 2000s, breaking into an industry many thought he didn’t belong to and changing it for good.

These days, he is one of the most respected and celebrated rappers in the world, and any move he makes comes with adoration from his fans.

In commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Slim Shady LP, Eminem is retiring his alter ego by killing off the controversial character in his forthcoming album.

With a new album released and a rumoured headline slot at Glastonbury 2025, speculation of a 2024 tour is rife. While nothing has been confirmed, we explore the possibility of Eminem touring the UK and Europe in 2024.

Is Eminem releasing a new album?

In April 2024, Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) announced his new album with a fake news report about a murder. He revealed that his 12th studio album, 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)', will be out this summer, hinting at a dramatic end for the character.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper once again said 'guess who's back' as he released the lead single off the album, 'Houdini'.

The video for the track features cameos from rap legends Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, as well as comedians Pete Davidson and Shane Gillis.

According to Rolling Stone, Eminem's song 'Houdini' continues the theme of Slim Shady's death with its magical undertones. In a teaser video with American magician and mentalist David Blaine, Eminem joked, "For my last trick, I'm gonna make my career disappear."

The song also pays homage to the late magician and escape artist, Houdini, who passed away at the age of 52. Interestingly, Rolling Stone points out that Eminem will also turn 52 in October. Could this mean that the rapper has something planned for the autumn? Perhaps a world tour could be on the cards!

Eminem released 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)' on Friday 12th July and it went straight No. 1 in the iTunes chart in the US. According to Forbes, the record currently rules the list of best selling albums in the country on the platform.

When did Eminem last tour the UK?

Eminem hasn't toured the UK in six years. Back in July 2018, he played two huge shows at Twickenham Stadium in London. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran joined the rapper on stage for 'River'.

In December 2023, rumours began to circulate on social media that the rapper had announced a '2024 UK Revival Tour', with fans listing themselves as 'going'.

JOE reported that a Facebook group claimed Eminem was bringing his tour to Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday 26th and 27th of April 2024. Although the event attracted 29,000 'interested' fans, some soon realised that the concert went on sale years ago.

When and where could Eminem tour the UK in 2024?

Nothing has been announced about Eminem's next UK tour. However, when an artist releases a new album, they will usually promote it by taking it on the road.

Should Eminem confirm a world tour, it's very likely the UK would feature on the schedule for several dates.

With his level of star power, he could easily perform at stadiums with multiple London venues in his reach.

Cardiff’s Principality Stadium is another stadium that you could imagine filling out if Eminem were to perform there, as is Manchester's Co-op Live arena or the Etihad Stadium.

Our prediction is that Eminem may embark on a tour in the UK during the upcoming autumn season.

Eminem for Glastonbury 2025?

According to reports, Eminem is rumoured to be one of the top choices for Glastonbury Festival's headlining slot in 2025.

The annual music festival, held at Worthy Farm, Somerset, faced some criticism this year for its selection of headliners including Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA on the famous Pyramid Stage.

An article by The Independent mentioned that an 'insider' claimed the organisers are determined to avoid similar backlash next year and are aiming to secure one of the music industry's biggest names.

Although Eminem has previously performed at Reading and Leeds Festival in 2017, he has yet to grace the Glastonbury Festival stage.

Who could Eminem tour with?

The anticipation of Eminem going on tour to perform a mix of his greatest hits and fresh tracks has fans buzzing with excitement.

What’s more exciting is who he could bring out during his tour.

Eminem is still signed to Aftermath Records (Dr. Dre’s record label), as he has been since 1999. He still regularly works with Dr. Dre, as well as acts associated with the label, such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar.

The three also performed together at the 2022 Super Bowl Half-Time show in Los Angeles, California, along with Anderson .Paak, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

Any Eminem concert is a big deal and an unforgettable experience. But an Eminem concert with legends like those above? Historic.

What songs does Eminem play in concert?

While it's difficult to predict what songs Eminem will play at his future concerts, it's like that he will play a mix of tracks from his upcoming record and hits from the Slim Shady LP.
