Tottenham-born songstress Adele is loud and proud about her love for Spurs. From donning a THFC scarf on Instagram to flying their flag high on stage, the global mega-star is quick to show her devotion to the north London club.

When the opening ceremony of Tottenham FC's new stadium took place, Adele was hotly tipped to perform. Unfortunately, the life-long Spurs supporter was unavailable due to work schedules.

With rumours of a new album release in December 2019 and potential 2020 tour, we discuss the chances of Adele playing Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Plus, we talk concert dates and VIP ticket options.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a music venue

Tottenham Hotspur opened their brand new £1-billion, 61,000-seater stadium on April 3rd 2019. Although the stadium is yet to hold music events, it's anticipated to serve as one of London’s biggest concert venues.

Potential concert dates

A secret source to British tabloid, The Sun, that Adele's new record is due for a 2019 Christmas release. If the rumours are true, we'd place our bets on a UK summer tour for 2020.

We suggest watching Tottenham Hotspur event listings, especially for June and July next year.

What other UK stadiums could Adele play?

In a tweet to fans she said, "To say I'm heartbroken would be a complete understatement". Could she return to make up for those missed shows?

London Stadium, based in the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London is sporting complex most notable for hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics. Although it's now home to West Ham United, the venue also puts on huge concerts.

In June 2020, the stadium will host The Hella Mega Tour with Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer. Will Adele be added to their event list?

West Midlands:

The singer songwriter added two extra dates at Resorts World Arena Birmingham, due to popular demand in 2016. If Adele is to return to the West Midlands, could she upgrade to Arena Birmingham?

Coventry's Ricoh Stadium is a 32,609-seater venue, doubling to 40,000 for music events. The stadium has played host some of the world's biggest artists including Oasis, Muse, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay and Rihanna. Could Adele join them?

North East & West:

Adele graced Melbourne's Etihad Stadium back in March 2017. If she's to announce a 2020 tour, we reckon Manchester's Etihad could definitely be on the cards.

From Beyoncé to the Spice Girls, the Stadium of Light has brought many world-famous acts to Sunderland City. We reckon Adele could be the next global star to add to their list.

Scotland:

Hampden Park in Glasgow has played host to a number of renowned artists including Take That, Paul McCartney, Pink and ACDC.

The smallest crowd of Adele's world tour was Glasgow's SSE Hydro. If she returns to bonny Scotland, we suspect she will upgrade to Hampden Park's 51,866 capacity stadium.

Wales:

Back in 2007, Adele performed at the Buffalo Bar in Cardiff to just 60 people. Now that the multi-million selling artist is used to selling out arenas, we have no doubt she will look to make her debut at the Principality Stadium.
