About Don Omar

Don Omar is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter and producer who emerged from the Latin urban scene in the late 1990s. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, he achieved his major breakthrough with his 2003 debut album, The Last Don. His music helped take reggaeton to audiences around the world, combining driving dembow rhythms with hip-hop, dance music and melodic Latin influences. His best-known tracks include ‘Danza Kuduro’, ‘Dale Don Dale’, ‘Salió El Sol’, ‘Bandoleros’, ‘Dile’ and ‘Pobre Diabla’. He has received two Latin Grammy Awards from 13 nominations and has continued to perform internationally more than two decades after his debut.
