About James Morrison
James Morrison is an English singer-songwriter from Rugby, Warwickshire, who broke through in 2006 with his debut single ‘You Give Me Something’. His music draws heavily on soul and pop, led by his distinctive raspy vocal style and direct approach to songwriting.
His debut album, Undiscovered, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, while The Awakening later gave him a second UK number-one album. His catalogue also includes ‘Wonderful World’, ‘You Make It Real’, ‘I Won't Let You Go’ and ‘Broken Strings’, his collaboration with Nelly Furtado.
Morrison won British Male Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards in 2007. More recently, he released Fight Another Day in 2025, which reached number five on the UK Albums Chart, continuing a recording career now spanning more than two decades.

What are James Morrison concerts like?
James Morrison's previous concerts have put his voice and songwriting firmly at the centre of the performance. His catalogue moves between soulful ballads, acoustic-led songs and fuller pop-rock arrangements, allowing his live sets to shift naturally between quieter moments and more expansive band performances.
His established material includes songs from across a career that began with Undiscovered in 2006 and has continued through to Fight Another Day. His husky vocal delivery remains a defining part of his live sound, particularly on emotionally direct songs such as ‘You Give Me Something’ and ‘I Won't Let You Go’.
The exact songs, musicians and production planned for Edinburgh Castle in 2027 have not been announced.
