What is the Music Showcase Weekend at York Racecourse?

Each year, York Racecourse puts on the ‘Music Showcase Weekend’. The racedays takes place during July on a consecutive Friday (evening) and Saturday.

The racedays combine racing and live music, and are very popular amongst racegoers who are looking for something a little different.

Last year, York Racecourse welcomed Madness and the Sugababes to their Music Showcase Weekend.

In 2023, York Racecourse will welcome Human League and Craig David as their headline acts for the Music Showcase Weekend.

When is there live music at York Racecourse?

On Friday 28th July (evening), Human League will headline the EBF Lyric Stakes.

On Saturday 29th July, Craig David will perform at the Sky Bet York Stakes.

What time is the music at York Races?

Live music at York Racecourse typically finishes between 10.15-10.30pm on the Friday (evening) and between 7.00-7.30pm on the Saturday.*

Since the 1990s, Craig David has been one of Britain’s best loved RnB stars, and has a series of hits to his name including 7 Days and Fill Me In.
