Madonna has been particularly busy in recent years. From completing the career-spanning The Celebration Tour to releasing new music and making a series of high-profile appearances, the Queen of Pop continues to give fans plenty to talk about.
Her recent activity has also raised an exciting question: could another Madonna tour be on the way in 2027?
While no 2027 tour has been officially announced, Madonna has spoken about the possibility of returning to the road. With a new album marking the beginning of her latest musical chapter, we look at what Madonna has been doing recently and what it could mean for her future live plans.

Madonna's recent years have included some major milestones, both on and off stage.
Much of 2023 and 2024 was dedicated to The Celebration Tour, an ambitious retrospective of her career which began at The O2 in London in October 2023.
Rather than supporting a single album, the tour celebrated more than four decades of Madonna's music. The setlist moved through different periods of her career, featuring songs including 'Like a Prayer', 'Vogue', 'Hung Up' and 'Ray of Light'.
The tour took Madonna across Europe and North America before reaching Mexico City in April 2024. However, there was still one major performance to come.
Madonna performs for 1.6 million fans in Brazil
Following The Celebration Tour, Madonna staged one of the biggest concerts of her career on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday 4th May 2024.
The free concert brought the Celebration era to a close in remarkable fashion, with an estimated 1.6 million people attending.
Guinness World Records subsequently recognised the performance as the most attended stand-alone music concert on record.
It was a fitting conclusion to a tour built around Madonna's career and demonstrated the scale of interest that continues to surround her live performances more than 40 years after her debut.
Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II
Following a tour devoted to her extensive back catalogue, Madonna's attention has since turned towards new music.
In 2026, she released her 15th studio album, Confessions II, reuniting with producer Stuart Price. The project followed their work together on 2005's Confessions on a Dance Floor, the album behind tracks including 'Hung Up', 'Sorry' and 'Get Together'.
Confessions II also marked Madonna's first new studio album since Madame X in 2019, making its arrival an important moment in her recent career.
The release has given Madonna a new collection of material to perform and, naturally, raised questions about whether she could eventually take the album on the road.
Madonna's recent appearances
Madonna has remained visible beyond the release of her new music.
In June 2026, a cinematic project accompanying Confessions II premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York.
The following month, Madonna returned to London for 'Club Confessions' at Magazine London on Thursday 2nd July 2026. The event saw her appear alongside Stuart Price and her daughter Lourdes Leon as part of the celebrations surrounding Confessions II.
These appearances suggest that Madonna's latest album is being treated as a distinct new era rather than simply a standalone release.
For fans hoping to see her return to the stage, however, one of Madonna's most interesting recent comments came when she addressed the possibility of touring again.
Speaking around the Confessions II premiere at the Tribeca Festival in June 2026, Madonna said that she "could go on tour", while also explaining that she does not want to repeat herself creatively.
The artist's comments makes reinforces the plausibility of a tour followingThe Celebration Tour. Her previous tour was designed as a retrospective of her career. A future production could instead give Madonna the opportunity to focus on Confessions II and her latest material while continuing to draw from her extensive catalogue.
For now, though, fans will have to wait for an official announcement before any 2027 dates can be confirmed.

Madonna added another major global performance to her career in July 2026 when she co-headlined the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
Taking place at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday 19th July 2026, the historic show featured Madonna alongside Shakira, BTS and Justin Bieber, as well as appearances from Burna Boy, Chris Martin and other performers.
Madonna was given the task of opening the show, performing her 2000 hit 'Music'. Her entrance also featured two familiar faces from football history, with World Cup winners Ronaldo and Ronaldinho accompanying her onto the pitch.
The appearance put Madonna back on one of the world's biggest stages just weeks after the release of Confessions II. Combined with her other live appearances in 2026, the performance provides another reason for fans to wonder whether a return to touring could be her next major move.
Could Madonna tour the UK in 2027?
There are currently no confirmed Madonna UK tour dates for 2027.
Madonna's recent activity within various UK arenas is a strong indicator of a potential return if a new tour were to be announced.
The Celebration Tour began at The O2 in London in October 2023, with Madonna eventually playing six sold-out shows at the venue across October and December. She also returned to London in July 2026 as part of the promotional activity surrounding Confessions II.
One appearance fans should not expect in 2027 is a headline performance at Glastonbury. Despite speculation surrounding Madonna and the festival, organiser Emily Eavis confirmed in August 2026 that Madonna would not be one of the festival's 2027 headliners.
That does not rule out separate UK concerts, although any potential dates or venues remain speculation until an official announcement is made.
What could Madonna do next?
Madonna's recent activity gives fans several reasons to watch closely for her next announcement.
She has completed one of the most significant tours of her career, returned with new music, reunited creatively with Stuart Price and continued to make major public appearances around the new album.
Most importantly for fans hoping for another tour, Madonna herself has indicated that returning to the road remains a possibility. Whether 2027 marks her return to the stage remains unknown. There is currently no confirmed tour, and any proposed dates, venues or setlists should be treated as speculation.
But with a new era already under way, including various collaborations with big names including Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter and Kylie Minogue, another Madonna tour would certainly represent a logical next chapter.
