The South African comedian has announced a new tour that will take him around North America. However, his recent comments have led many to speculate if he could take the tour further than the US.

Trevor Noah has been the host of ‘The Daily Show’ since 2015, but after seven years in the role, he is leaving at the end of this year.

But instead of taking any time off, Noah is keeping himself busy by going straight into a brand new stand-up tour.

As a highly popular comedian not just in North America but around the world, many people are hoping for the announcement of Trevor Noah touring in their country.

When Was The Last Trevor Noah UK Tour?

Trevor Noah recently finished up his ‘Back To Abnormal’ tour that actually started in the UK, with two shows at the London O2 Arena on 10th & 11th September 2021.

He then went and toured the show around the US for the rest of 2021 and throughout 2022, returning to Europe in May 2022, although he didn’t return to the UK in that run.

What Is Trevor Noah’s Newest Tour?

The South African comedian will be leaving his hosting duties of ‘The Daily Show’ on 8th December and then will be embarking on his new tour six weeks later.

The new tour, named the ‘Off The Record Tour’, was announced on 14th November. It currently contains 40 dates across 28 cities in the US, as well as a number of shows in his home country of South Africa.

Will Trevor Noah Bring The ‘Off The Record Tour’ To The UK?

Currently, only the 40 dates in the US and numerous dates in South Africa have been announced.

However, in his announcement tweet for the tour, Noah used rather open language to suggest that the tour may go international at a later date.

In his tweet, he wrote “I am excited to announce my 2023 Off The Record Tour, with the first dates kicking off in the US!”

If Noah was planning on only keeping to the dates he has currently or only staying in the US, he surely wouldn’t add the ‘first dates kicking off in the US’ part, as that seems to suggest more dates in other countries will be announced later.

Of course, with South Africa being added, he may have just been alluding to those shows. But we are keeping optimistic.

And then there’s the fact that there are some gaps in the schedule for 2023. The tour kicks off in January 2023, but there will only be one show that month, then another one show in February, followed by four in March.

The tour doesn’t seem to properly start until April, where it will then run fairly consistently until the start of June.

That’s where the biggest gap comes in, as from the 3rd June - 31st August, there are no tour dates.

Could that be a big break from it all, or is it space for a European run?

Where Could Trevor Noah Perform In The UK?

As mentioned earlier, Noah kicked off his last tour at the London O2 Arena. It is highly likely that should he bring the ‘Off The Record Tour’ to the UK, he will perform there again.

He is scheduled to play at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow as part of the ‘Back To Abnormal’ tour, as the original date for it had to be rescheduled for November 2023.

Noah has visited the London Eventim Apollo and Sheffield City Hall in the past. While the Eventim Apollo could potentially get a revisit, Noah’s fame would surely be too big for shows in city hall’s these days.

We predict that if he does conduct a proper UK tour, he will visit the best arenas that Britain has to offer - Manchester’s AO Arena, Birmingham’s Utilita and/or Resorts World Arenas, Leeds First Direct Arena, just to name a few.
