As rumours circulate that The Cure could be releasing new music, Robert Smith and co have announced that they will be playing a series of highly-anticipated concert dates on home ground this year.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have been praised for moulding commercially successful alternative rock and with over 30 millions albums sold worldwide, it is not hard to see why.

Have The Cure released new music?

The Cure have not released an album since 2008 with their record ‘4:13 Dream’.

The band have confirmed that they are working on producing new music and that they have two potential albums in the works, one of which is the “most intense, saddest and most emotional record yet”.

The Cure have not revealed an official release date for their new music yet, but we anticipate that it will be before they head out on tour later this year.

When was the last time The Cure toured?

The Cure have not toured since Autumn 2016 when they travelled across Europe for the first time in eight years.

Titled ‘The Twilight Sad’, the tour saw Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O’Donnell and Reeves Gabriel complete 34 shows across 17 European countries.
