Seat Unique celebrates five years with Chair Richard Flint as the premium experience economy continues to boom.
Scroll DownSeat Unique is marking five years with Chair Richard Flint at a pivotal moment for the live events industry, as demand for premium live experiences continues to accelerate globally.
Since joining the business, Richard has helped guide Seat Unique through a period of significant growth and transformation, positioning it at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market. Reflecting on that journey, Richard said: “It’s been an absolute privilege to be involved. There’s been such an incredible period of growth, not just for the company but for the whole market - and we’re really at the forefront of that.”
Over the past five years, that market has undergone a fundamental shift. In the wake of the pandemic, consumer behaviour has changed permanently, with people increasingly prioritising experiences over material possessions. Live events now sit at the centre of that shift, but the way fans engage with them has evolved significantly.
“The pandemic woke all of us up to how much we value live events - how much we miss them when they’re not there,” Richard explains. “People across wider society are starting to value experiences more than material things.”
At the same time, the premium live platform itself has evolved rapidly, moving beyond traditional corporate hospitality into a much broader and more accessible category. Today’s offering spans a wide range of experiences, from enhanced matchday packages to once-in-a-lifetime VIP moments.
This shift is reflected in the rapid growth of the premium segment, now estimated to be worth £10 billion globally, and widely recognised as the fastest-growing category within live events. The rise of sports and event tourism is reshaping the landscape further, with fans increasingly travelling internationally to attend major events and expecting a complete, high-quality experience around them.
In response to this, Seat Unique has taken a major step forward to become Europe’s number one destination for premium live experiences. In doing so, it has brought together Seat Unique, P1 Travel and Circuit Hospitality - three complementary brands spanning technology, global distribution and high-end hospitality.
Richard believes the combination strengthens the group’s ability to serve the full market: “There’s a huge opportunity in bringing P1, Circuit and Seat Unique together. Sharing technology and inventory is part of it, but more importantly, it allows us to learn from each other and better serve both our customers and our rightsholders.”
Individually, each brand brings distinct strengths. Together, they form a group operating at a scale that sets it apart in the European market, with more than £150 million in premium inventory, over 500,000 official hospitality packages, and a global audience generating approximately 1.4 million monthly visits.
That combination underpins the group’s competitive advantage, bringing together supply, demand and technology in a way that few others in the market can replicate.
“We’re now leaders in premium, consumer-driven technology with real scale,” Richard says. “We have 1.4 million monthly visitors and over half a million packages available - that scale benefits both customers and rightsholders.”
The impact of this approach is being felt on both sides of the market. For rightsholders - including clubs, venues and promoters - the group provides a more effective way to maximise the value of premium inventory through global distribution and technology. For fans, it delivers greater choice, easier access, and confidence that every experience is official.
As Seat Unique looks ahead to the next five years and beyond with Richard Flint as chair, the focus is firmly on scaling what has already been built. The ambition remains clear: to establish itself as Europe’s number one destination for premium live experiences and make unforgettable moments more easily accessible for fans.
Richard concludes: “The next five years will be even better than the last. We’re really well positioned to be the number one premium live destination in Europe, but there’s so much more to go after.”
