Why did NSYNC break up?

In 2001, NSYNC released their final album to date, ‘Celebrity’. Following a world tour, the boy band went on hiatus in light of Justin Timberlake’s desire to record a solo album.

Though the group had never officially disbanded, subsequent appearances have been sporadic, including a one-off appearance at the 2013 MTV VMAs, which came as a part of Justin Timberlake’s set.

Why are NSYNC coming back?

During an interview with Yahoo in October 2023, Joey Fatone claimed that touring with NSYNC was a “possibility” in the future. This interview came after the release of the single ‘Better Place’, the group’s first new material in over two decades.

Following Fatone’s interview, Lance Bass was asked about the possible reunion by out.com in December 2023. Bass said the group were “throwing out ideas” and hoped to “have something in the new year.”

Is Justin Timberlake getting back with NSYNC?

Despite his immense popularity as a solo artist, it would be impossible to envision an NSYNC reunion without Justin Timberlake as a part of the lineup.

Fatone seemingly confirmed Justin's involvement during an interview with out.com. He mentioned that Justin approached them to discuss a reunion, revealing that he was the catalyst for initiating the reunion discussions.

Did NSYNC reunite for Trolls?

NSYNC’s first new material in over two decades came in the form of the single ‘Better Place’ which was released as part of the soundtrack for Dreamworks Animation’s Trolls Band Together, in October 2023.

Are NSYNC making new music?

In the same interview with Yahoo, Fatone hinted that NSYNC were working on new material. When asked about the prospect of a new album, Fatone did not deny that it was in the works, stating “That takes time” but did not rule it out at any point.

With Justin Timberlake reportedly invested in this reunion, it would be reasonably safe to assume that new material could be in the works.

When was the last time NSYNC performed?

NSYNC have not performed a full show together since the last show of the ‘Celebrity’ tour on 28th April 2008 at Orlando’s TD Waterhouse Centre.

However, they reunited for a brief medley at the 2013 MTV VMAs at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The group’s last public appearance came at the same awards show in 2023, where they presented the Best Pop Award to Taylor Swift.

Did NSYNC ever tour the UK?

When and where could NSYNC tour in the UK in 2024?
