The iconic rock band embarked on their much-anticipated ‘Freedom Tour’ in 2023 to commemorate their 50th anniversary. Now, Journey have announced that they are continuing the tour with a string of concert dates in 2024.
The tour has delivered a wave of nostalgia and rock 'n' roll energy. Accompanied by the legendary band Toto as the opening act, Journey have treated audiences in the US and Canada to a mix of their classic hits and tracks from their latest album.
Journey and Def Leppard have also announced they're co-headlining a summer stadium tour. They last teamed up on a 2018 joint tour. Both groups will tour North America in summer 2024.
Also joining the shows on select dates will be Cheap Trick, Heart and Steve Miller Band. Cheap Trick is scheduled to perform on the opening and closing dates. Steve Miller Band will play multiple shows, and Heart will join for three shows.

The 'Don't Stop Believing' rockers will visit some of the UK's biggest arenas throughout October and November this year including AO Arena in Manchester, first direct arena in Leeds, and Utilita Arena Birmingham.

Who is the lead singer for Journey tour 2024?
The lead singer for the Journey tour in 2024 will be Arnel Pineda. Pineda has been the lead vocalist in Journey since 2007 and has been widely praised for his dynamic performances and ability to capture the essence of the band's iconic sound.
Performing alongside Pineda, the lineup for the tour will also include Neal Schon on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jonathan Cain on keyboards and backing vocals
Is Steve Perry still touring with Journey?
Due to a hiking accident, Steve Perry experienced a hip injury that required surgery for him to return to performing with Journey. However, Perry chose not to undergo the necessary surgery and instead decided to permanently leave the band. Following his departure, Steve Augeri, formerly of Tall Stories, took over the lead vocal duties for Journey.
Perry said in an interview with MelodicRock.com in 2011. "I had to have a hip replacement, and the band was telling me when they thought I should do it, and I said, ‘Major surgery like this is not a band decision.' I said that I would get it done, but I didn't get it done quickly enough. They just wanted to get on the road, and there was an ultimatum given to me. And I don't respond well to ultimatums."
