Outside of football season, music fans can enjoy an array of annual concerts at the Etihad Stadium. Over summer, the home of Man City FC doubles up as one of the UK's largest music venues, with a capacity for 60,000 fans.

In 2004, the Red Hot Chili Peppers became the first band to perform at the stadium. Since then, a host of global megastars have graced the stage including Oasis, Take That, The Stone Roses, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Spice Girls and many more.

We round up the artists hotly tipped to perform at Etihad Stadium in 2020. Plus, we explain how to guarantee your entry with premium and official VIP tickets.

Adele

After a four year hiatus, reports claim Adele's fourth studio album is due for release on 8th November 2019.

If the rumours are true, the songstress from Tottenham could hit the road again in 2020. If Adele embarks on a 2020 world tour, we predict that she will hit more stadiums next summer.

Adele last visited the North West in 2016, where she played four sold-out shows at Manchester MEN Arena. This leaves no doubt that she's ready to take on heights of the Etihad Stadium.

Coldplay

Following Coldplay's double album announcement, there has been growing speculation over a 2020 UK tour.

The British band are no strangers to the Etihad; they played two sold-out shows there on their huge 'A Head Full of Dreams' world tour.

Chris Martin and co returned to the city in 2017, to perform the One Love Manchester benefit concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

If Coldplay make their live return in 2020, could they visit the Etihad again?

Beyoncé

Last year, Queen Bey graced the Etihad Stadium with hubby Jay Z for their 'On the Run II' world tour.

Over the course of 2019, the pop power couple have welcomed twins, Sir and Rumi, and Bey has starred in and soundtracked the live-action version of, The Lion King.

The Daily Mail recently reported: 'Beyoncé is filming her new music video on a number of south London estates as she prepares to release Brown Skin Girl as a single.'

Could this mean a new album and world tour is on the way? If so, we reckon she will come back to the Etihad for a solo show.

Taylor Swift

Back in 2018, Tay Tay brought her 'Repuation' tour to the Etihad for two dates, due to overwhelming demand.

Following the release of her seventh studio album 'Lover', Taylor's only confirmed UK concert date is the 2019 Jingle Bell Ball.

The 'Shake It Off' singer recently announced that she's scheduled to play a number of festivals 'for the first time in ages'. Taylor confirmed appearances at European festivals in 2020, but is yet to mention any UK dates.

Could she surprise Swifties with pre-festival show at the Etihad?

Bruce Springsteen

Earlier this year, Bruce Springsteen revealed that he will record a new album and tour with the E Street Band in 2020. Speaking to Italian news site Repubblica, he said, “I’ll record with the E Street Band in autumn, and when we’re done, we’ll go on tour.”

Although a European tour is yet to be confirmed, fans remain hopefully The Boss will make another welcomed appearance at Etihad Stadium.

Rihanna

Over the past two years, Rihanna has been dominating the beauty and fashion industry, with her label Fenty.

However, it seems The Navy (aka Rihanna's fans), may not have to wait much longer to hear new music. Bad Girl Ri Ri herself has confirmed that the follow up to 2016's 'ANTI' is on the way.

The Barbadian superstar officially announced her ninth studio album in her Vogue cover story, in June 2018. Up until now, she has teased fans on social media and interviews but has confirmed it's heavily influenced by reggae.

Fans have been speculating the album will be called 'R9' - so much som Rihanna herself feels compelled to give it this name.

If Rihanna is tour again, we expect her to take a step up to bigger venues. Could she make her Etihad debut in 2020? It's quite possible.
