First staged in 1897, the Monte-Carlo Masters is one of the longest-running tournaments in men’s professional tennis. Although closely associated with Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Country Club is situated just across the border in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France.

Court Rainier III provides the tournament’s main stage, with views towards the Mediterranean and a capacity of 10,500 spectators. The Monte-Carlo Masters is traditionally the first of the season’s three ATP Masters 1000 tournaments played on clay.
