Leeds United Football Club, founded in 1919, is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. They rose to prominence under manager Don Revie in the 1960s and 70s, winning the First Division in 1969 and 1974. Known for their tough style, they also won the FA Cup (1972) and League Cup (1968). The club experienced decline in the 1980s, but resurged in the early 2000s before facing financial trouble and relegation. After 16 years outside the Premier League, Leeds returned in 2020 under Marcelo Bielsa. The club is known for its passionate fanbase and historic rivalries, especially with Manchester United.
