Fulham FC made their way back into the Premier League for the 2022/23 season, and will continue in the league throughout 23/24. 
Fulham FC History
Fulham FC is the oldest club in London and one of the oldest in the country, having been founded in 1879.
Fulham were elected to the Football League in 1907 and began playing in the Second Division. The team's first major achievement came in 1949, when they won the Second Division title and were promoted to the top tier of English football for the first time in their history.
Despite this success, Fulham struggled in the First Division and were relegated back to the Second Division in 1952. The club would continue to yo-yo between the top two divisions over the coming years, achieving moderate success but never managing to establish themselves as a top-flight team.
In 1975, Fulham were relegated to the Third Division for the first time in their history. The club's fortunes took a turn for the worse, and they would spend much of the next two decades struggling in the lower leagues of English football.
However, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Fulham began a resurgence under the ownership of Mohamed Al-Fayed. The club secured promotion to the Premier League in 2001 and spent 13 years in the top flight, mainly as a mid-table side but managed to make the Europa League on two occasions.
In 2010, with future England manager Roy Hodgson at the helm, Fulham reached the Europa League final, a remarkable achievement for a club that had spent much of its recent history in the lower divisions. Although they lost the final to Atlético Madrid, the team's run to the final was widely praised.
Recent years have seen the Cottagers bouncing once again between the top two divisions of English football, with them often seeming to be too good for the Championship but sometimes not good enough for the Premier League.
Today, Fulham FC continues to compete in the Premier League. With a rich history and a bright future ahead, the team will undoubtedly continue to capture the hearts and minds of fans around the world for many years to come.

Craven Cottage
Craven Cottage is the historic home stadium of Fulham Football Club, located in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The stadium has a capacity of 22,384 and has been the home of Fulham since 1896. Originally a simple wooden structure, the stadium has undergone numerous renovations and upgrades over the years to become more modern inside while still retaining much of its old-world charm and remains one of the most atmospheric and beloved stadiums in English football.
The stadium is known for its picturesque setting on the banks of the River Thames, which provides a stunning backdrop to matches. The Johnny Haynes Stand, which runs along the west side of the stadium, is one of its most distinctive features, while the Riverside Stand offers stunning views of the river.
Craven Cottage is also famous for its historic "cottage" pavilion, which dates back to the stadium's early days and is now a listed building. With its unique blend of old and new, Craven Cottage is a true gem of English football.
Fulham’s Derbies and Rivalries
Being situated in London, Fulham has an understandable rivalry with every other London-based club - Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham are all within their scope.
However, those teams are rather larger in stature, having won more major trophies over the years compared to Fulham. While they are considered London derby games, they aren’t exactly direct rivals of Fulham.
With that being said, Chelsea is seen as the club's biggest rival as they are located very close to one another. Chelsea’s home Stamford Bridge is actually situated in the Fulham area of London, which is adjacent to the borough of Chelsea. The two grounds are separated by just 1.8 miles.
Other rivalries for Fulham are the London-based teams who also don’t compete towards the top of the table. Brentford is a top rivalry for them, with both sides now competing in the top flight.
Previously, they had met in the 2020 Championship play-off final, known as the most expensive game in world football, where the winner goes on to gain promotion to the Premier League. Fulham won that day 2-1 after a strongly contested match that went to extra time before being decided.
Crystal Palace, another London side, is also a rival, although to a lesser extent. The two clubs haven’t faced each other in a highly competitive matchup for many years, with any fixtures being simple league or cup games.
Outside of London, the Cottagers have a long-standing rivalry with Gillingham. The two clubs have not played in the same division since the 2000/01 season, however, it was their matchups in the past that has led to many fans still holding a grudge against the opposing side.
