About York Barbican
The York Barbican is a multi-purpose entertainment venue located in York, England. It was opened in 1989 and was initially designed as a conference centre. However, it has since been refurbished and expanded to become a popular destination for live events, such as music, comedy, and sports.
The venue features a 1,500 seating capacity and a 1,900 standing capacity. It has a variety of spaces available for hosting events, including a main auditorium, a smaller studio theatre, and several meeting and conference rooms. The venue is owned by the City of York Council.
