About Deacon Blue

Formed in Glasgow in 1985, Deacon Blue became one of Scotland's best-known pop-rock bands following the release of their debut album, Raintown, in 1987. The record introduced the band's distinctive songwriting and included enduring favourites such as ‘Dignity’ and ‘When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring)’.

Their success continued with albums including When the World Knows Your Name, featuring songs such as ‘Real Gone Kid’ and ‘Fergus Sings the Blues’.
