About Slipknot

Slipknot formed in Des Moines, Iowa in the 1990s and emerged internationally following the release of their self-titled debut album, Slipknot, in 1999. Their sound combines heavy metal with elements of nu metal, alternative metal and extreme music, while their masks, stage design and uncompromising live performances have become central to their identity.

Across their career, the band have released albums including Iowa, Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), All Hope Is Gone, .5: The Gray Chapter, We Are Not Your Kind and The End, So Far. Songs such as ‘Wait and Bleed’, ‘Duality’, ‘Psychosocial’, ‘Before I Forget’ and ‘The Devil in I’ have become staples of their live shows.

Slipknot won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for ‘Before I Forget’ and have received 11 Grammy nominations in total.

The band returned to the UK in December 2024 for their 25th-anniversary tour, performing a run of headline arena dates built around material from their earliest years. Their newly announced Wembley Stadium concert will bring them back to the UK on a considerably larger scale in summer 2027.

Their latest new track, ‘Arsenal’, arrived in September 2026 and marked their first new Slipknot song in more than three years, beginning another chapter ahead of their 2027 live dates.

What are Slipknot performances like?

Slipknot concerts are known for powerful musicianship, elaborate staging and an intense connection between the band and their audience. You can expect heavy guitar riffs, rapid percussion, commanding vocals from Corey Taylor and a set designed to work on a large scale.

Their performances also make use of distinctive masks, striking stage production and theatrical elements that have helped define Slipknot’s live identity for decades. Whether you have followed the band since the release of Slipknot or discovered them through later records such as We Are Not Your Kind and The End, So Far, their Wembley Stadium concert gives you the opportunity to experience their catalogue in a major UK stadium setting.
