Do Westlife have a new album out?
Singles ‘Starlight’ and ‘My Hero’ were released in advance of Westlife’s newest album, ‘Wild Dreams’. Westlife released the album in the midst of the pandemic at the end of 2021 and it marked their most self-written album of all time.
During COVID lockdowns the band came together to write and record new music over Zoom as all tours and concerts had been paused. They wrote much of the album themselves but the work also includes song-writing contributions from big names including Ed Sheeran and Kodaline.
The band set out to create music with a feel-good vibe that focused on happiness as well as reflection and moving towards the future to reflect on the struggles of the world during the pandemic.
Their new ultimate collection album will be a songbook of their career with 21 fan favourites like 'Uptown Girl', 'Flying Without Wings’ and 'You Raise Me Up', alongside fresh material recorded by Shane, Mark, Nicky & Kian.
When did Westlife last go on tour?
In 2019, Westlife went on a comeback tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band.
The tour titled ‘Twenty’ saw Kian, Nicky, Mark and Shane perform to 600,000 fans across 27 countries, including two sell-out shows in their home country of Ireland.
In 2022, the band hit the road again to complete their huge 'Wild Dreams' tour. The show took them across the world with an incredible 15 tour dates in the UK.
