About Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship

The Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship is the crown jewel of the darts calendar. Organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and founded in 1994, it brings together the very best players from across the globe to compete for one of the sport’s most coveted titles.

Held annually at the iconic Ally Pally, the tournament is known for its electric atmosphere, knockout format, and memorable finals. Matches in the early rounds are best of five sets, building to a best of 13 set epic for the final. Prize money runs into the millions, with champions joining a roll of honour that includes Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price, and most recently Luke Humphries.

The 2024 edition saw a landmark moment in darts history when 16-year-old Luke Littler became the youngest-ever finalist, capturing the hearts of fans before falling to Humphries in a dramatic final.
